Ezechi Britton MBE, known as Ez, is a leading figure in the UK fintech and innovation ecosystem, with more than 15 years’ experience building, scaling and supporting technology ventures. He began his career as a software developer before moving into co-founder and Chief Technology Officer roles, later expanding into venture capital, policy and ecosystem leadership.
Ez was the founding CTO of Neyber, a fintech company focused on financial wellbeing, and co-founded Code Untapped, a digital skills accelerator created to open up opportunities for underrepresented technologists. He later became a founding member, principal and CTO-in-Residence at Impact X Capital Partners LLP, where he supported underrepresented entrepreneurs in accessing venture capital and building investable businesses.
In 2023, Ez was appointed the founding CEO of the Centre for Finance, Innovation and Technology, established to support the growth and competitiveness of UK financial innovation. He stepped down from CFIT in January 2025 after two years at the helm.
Ez is now Co-founder and CEO of Collectively Better, where he works with founders, corporates and ecosystem partners to build, shape and scale ambitious ventures. He also serves as a trustee at Crisis and advisor to its venture studio, leads the Smart Data Council working group on supporting private sector investment in Smart Data, and is an International Trade Award Judging Panel Member for The King’s Awards for Enterprise.
In 2022, Ez was awarded an MBE for services to diversity and innovation in technology. He specialises in bringing together people, policy, capital and execution to turn ambitious ideas into practical, scalable ventures.
